When we decided to launch a camping and outdoors store as part of Nomad Adventure Vehicles in Spring 2021, we knew we needed to source the most innovative products from our favourite suppliers. As experienced vanlifers we have shared some incredible moments on the road, and understand that to give your trip the greatest chance of success it is essential to be well prepared!

RidgeMonkey
Few people have as much knowledge and experience when it comes to keeping warm and dry in adverse weather conditions than fishermen, and RidgeMonkey have rapidly developed a cult following among outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes since their foundation in 2014. We love their high-tech, functional aesthetic and emphasis on usability.

SOTO
There are a few companies with a near-mythical status among the outdoor community, and SOTO is firmly among them. SOTO burners bring next-level Japanese engineering refinement to this essential piece of camping kit, and have been tested in some of the harshest conditions on the planet. With a laser-like focus on portability and minimum carry weight, the latest SOTO burners are crafted from futuristic aluminium that looks fantastic without compromising functionality.
The word “SOTO” means outdoors in Japanese, and the one-track minded commitment to innovation is visible in every device these guys produce!
The SOTO WindMaster with 4Flex uses SOTO’s Micro Regulator technology to enable a consistent output as temperatures drop, and has been tested to demonstrate the same burning time at -5°C as at 20°C. This stove comes complete with the interchangeable 4Flex post support, which can easily be replaced with the SOTO Tri Flex (OD-1RX3) when being ultra-lightweight is preferred. With a shielded peizzo igniter, the stove is easy to ignite and the concave burner head offers enhanced protection from the wind.

For a more Eco Friendly way of washing and protecting your down clothing and equipment, the Storm Down Care Kit is here! You can clean and restore your down jackets or sleeping bags easily and quickly, as both wash and reproofer are used in the same washing cycle, saving water and time.

Thule
There are a few names in the camping and outdoors world that are instantly recognisable, and Thule is definitely among them. Synonymous with quality, practicality and durability, Thule components are able to elevate the capability of almost any vehicle. At Nomad Adventure Vehicles we are massive fans of the awnings and shelters on offer from Thule, and their in-vehicle storage solutions are ideal for anyone looking to convert car boot space into a more functional equipment bay.

Thule Omnistor 4900 is our lightest weight awning which makes it perfect for all vehicles where weight might be an issue. The reduction in weight has been achieved by making the roller tube slightly narrower, therefore does not effect the stability or build quality of the awning
The awning support legs now drop vertically to remove the risk of damaging the vehicle body when deployed. They are oval in shape which also saves some weight whilst remaining strong.
The awning fabric is high frequency welded and no longer stitched, as a result it remains strong over years to come. Furthermore a 5 ply PVC material ensures that the fabric will never rot, the top is UV treated to protect from the harsh sun rays.
Thule Omnistor 4900 introduces a new design which allows the front rail to be adjusted within the end caps, in conclusion this allows a perfect closure.
